Malediction or Benediction?

In some countries that I have visited, the pain of mothers is multiplied because their husbands abandon them, considering the child’s disability to be the fault of the mother. In some places, to look after people with disablities means you are favouring situations that are wrong. People say you should just leave the disabled alone in their pain. There is a sort of mystery about people with disablities. What is their meaning in our world? Is it a malediction or a benediction?
